Workflow: Creating Test Cases from Jira Acceptance Criteria
- Read the Jira ticket to extract acceptance criteria
- For each AC, create a QMetry test case with BDD steps (Given/When/Then)
- Use the returned QTC keys as references in automation scripts
# Step 1: Read the ticket
orbit -p paybook jira issue view PYMT-123
# Step 2: Create test cases
orbit -p paybook qm tc create --project-id 10061 --folder-id 2382094 \
--summary "TC: User can login with valid credentials [PYMT-123]" \
--steps '[{"stepDetails":"Given user is on login page","expectedResult":"Login form visible"},{"stepDetails":"When user enters valid credentials","testData":"user@example.com / password123","expectedResult":""},{"stepDetails":"Then user is redirected to dashboard","expectedResult":"Dashboard loads with user name"}]'For full command details and flags, see references/commands.md.
