Alamy Downloader is an upcoming browser extension designed to streamline how users save their purchased and licensed assets from Alamy's website. Instead of navigating through multiple download pages and manually managing files, the extension will detect your licensed content and let you grab high-resolution images, vectors, and video clips right from the page you are browsing.

Why Alamy Downloader
Alamy hosts one of the largest stock media libraries in the world, with over 300 million images spanning editorial, creative, and archival categories. After purchasing a license, downloading the actual asset often means clicking through confirmation screens, waiting for packaging emails, or hunting through your account dashboard to locate the right file and resolution.
Alamy Downloader is being designed to sit inside the browser and work alongside the Alamy website. The goal is to recognize when you are viewing content you have already licensed, surface the available download options directly on the page, and let you save the full-resolution file to your machine without leaving the tab you are working in.

How It Will Work
- Install the extension once it is released.
- Open the Alamy website and sign in to your account.
- Browse search results, lightboxes, or your purchase history.
- Click on any asset page for a photo, vector, or video you have licensed.
- Open the extension popup to see available download options for that asset.
- Select your preferred resolution or file variant if multiple are offered.
- Click download and save the file directly to your local machine.
- For batch operations, open a lightbox and use the bulk export option to queue multiple assets at once.
Expected Formats
- Images: JPEG, TIFF, or PNG depending on the licensed resolution and asset type
- Vectors: EPS or AI files as provided by the contributor
- Video: MP4 or MOV clips in the resolution tier covered by your license
Exported files will retain their original quality and will be compatible with standard editing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Affinity Photo.

FAQ
When will Alamy Downloader be released? A release date has not been set. Sign up at the waitlist link above to be notified as soon as it is available.
Does it let me download images I have not purchased? No. This extension is designed to help you save assets you have already licensed through your Alamy account. It does not bypass licensing or access restrictions.
What image quality will it support? Quality depends on the license tier you purchased. The extension will present whatever resolutions and formats your license entitles you to download.
Will it work with Alamy contributor accounts? The initial release is focused on buyer accounts. Contributor-side features may be considered in future updates based on demand.
Is it free? Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. SERP extensions typically include a free trial period.
Can I download from my lightboxes in bulk? Bulk export from lightbox pages is a planned feature. The exact workflow will depend on how Alamy structures access to those assets in the browser.

This repository is distributed under the proprietary SERP Apps license in the LICENSE file. Review that file before copying, modifying, or redistributing any part of this project.
